First Bürkert Webinar

On 29th April at 16.00 - 17.00 CET Bürkert will broadcast a webinar on Hygienic Processing in conjunction with media partner Pharmaceutical Business Review
Title of the Hygienic Processing Webinar:
The evolution of modern day diaphragm valve technologies....... achieving cGMP's thru ASME-BPE compliance

Speaker:
Rick Zinkowski - Business Development Manager Biopharm / Hygienic Industries from Burkert USA; Vice Chair of the ASME-BPE (Bioprocessing Equipment) Standard's Committee, and Chair of the Executive Committee of the ASME-BPE.

Background:
This webinar will deal with a number of important considerations in the selection of hygienic valves and valve block solutions in modern day biopharmaceutical manufacturing plants. The importance of correct valve selection is evidenced by the benefits it provides. As well as delivering equipment and installation savings, optimised selection can eliminate dead legs, ensuring that sterility is easier to ensure and maintain. It can also mean efficient flow rates and flow shifts as well as a reduced risk of cross contamination. In addition, the compact design of the latest single diaphragm valves, combined with manifold blocks, ensures minimal hold-up volumes, increasing product yields, with less media waste. The webinar will also cover the appropriate design criteria and validation requirements which are an integral part of the selection and emphasize the importance of ASME BPE recommendations and compliance.
